One-Day Pickles






Prepare a pickling mixture by adding to each cup of vinegar you desire to use, one tablespoon each of fine salt and pulverized table mustard; put this mixture into a glass fruit jar or jars or a stone crock. Select medium sized cucumbers; wash and dry them throughly, as the secret of this process lies in their being absolutely dry when dropped into the mixture; put in a suffient quantity to be well covered, cover jar tightly. They are ready for use the following day.
