French Pancakes






1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup cream
2 eggs, beaten
jam and powdered sugar
2 cups milk
Sift well together flour, baking powder and salt; beat together eggs, sugar, milk and cream; mix and beat until smooth; melt a little butter in frying pan and pour in enough batter to cover bottom of pan; cook over hot range-top; turn but once and brown boths sides; spread with jam or jelly, and roll up like a jelly-roll; sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve while hot.
