Quick Loaf Bread






4 cups flour
7 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cold potato
milk
Sift well together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt, and into these rub one medium sized potato; add enough milk and mix smoothly into a good stiff batter; place in a well greased loaf baking pan and smoothly top over with a buttered knife; stand pan in warm place about a half hour; when baked, moisten top crust with damp cloth, remove from pan, wrap and allow to cool.
