Cocoanut Butter Cakes






2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoanut
3/4 cup milk
4 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
Sift and measure flour, add baking powder and salt; resift; rub butter into flour; add the well beaten eggs, milk, and cocoanut finely shreaded; mix to dough, turn on a floured board and roll out to about 3/4 inches thick; cut with biscuit cutter and place on a well greased griddle; brown both sides by turning, reduce heat and let bake through. Serve while warm.
